MAQS Visit

We went to the Museum of the American Quilter’s Society and it was wonderful. There is a special exhibit of quilts by Suzanne Marshall and Linda Roy and they are truly wonderful.   The amount of work that goes into their quilts is amazing.

It was also fun to see a quilt by Judith Larzelere in the museum. I didn’t know they owned one of her’s so it was a pleasant surprise to it hanging there. I took a workshop from Judith in conjunction with the Quintessential Quilt 2005 show in University City, MO in 2005 and I love the piece I made.

I really like her work.  I spotted one of her pieces at a local bank building shortly after taking her workshop.  The title of  this quilt is “Summer” and was in Quilt National in ‘83.

It was fun to spot another one of her quilts at the museum.  You can check out a new quilt of Judith’s here.
