Paducah!!
I had a fabulous time in Paducah. There are plenty of rumors that the show won’t be held there next year due to the hotel/convention center upgrades not being completed but I sure hope it is. Darlene & I hooked up with a couple of other members of our quilt guild and went to one of the dinners by a local church. We enjoyed good food, nice dinner companions and entertainment. When you leave a quilt show at other conventions, the show is over, when you leave the Paducah quilt show, it continues with all the wonderful downtown businesses displaying quilts, the Rotary Antique Quilts show, Hancocks of Paducah, local quilt shops, artists shops and just so many wonderful food places.
It would be a shame to loose that….but a vendor mentioned rumors have it that St Louis is currently tops in the running for the show. Hey, right across the river’s not bad if it can’t be in Paducah!
I’ll have pictures of my purchases and more about the show later but for now, what’s wrong with this picture?
Could it be the long arm sewing machine is missing? Why could that be? Perhaps it has something to do with this being my most expensive trip to Paducah yet!
Here’s a picture of a machine similar to what I’ll be getting in about 3 weeks to replace the missing sewing machine. No more Cranky!!
I can not wait to sew on a machine that: 1) sews without having to constantly fuss with the timing and 2) has a stitch regulator. Yippee!
