Green Fabric Revealed
Finally get to show what the green fabric hanging out on my design wall is for! My SIL gave me some scraps from a quilt she made. There was about 6 different fabrics and stacks of them cut in 2 3/4 by 1 3/4 rectangles. Well, I thought wow, these are perfect for a stacked coin quilt. So here’s the quilt:
I wanted a green fabric and just couldn’t find a piece in my stash. I mentioned I needed to go shopping and my husband walked over to the shelves and pulled out this green and asked, “What’s wrong with this one?” Well, nothing was wrong as it matched perfectly. I also found a great red for the borders. I was quite happy with the quilt and Sofie was wonderful quilting it up. No thread breakage at all and the only frogging (unstitching) was due to my displeasure with my free motion quilting ;(
I think it was a success as Connie seemed to like it although she didn’t immediately recognize her fabric scraps
I named this quilt Leftover Coins…..since it was made from Connie’s leftover scraps. I might be in trouble because Connie will be expecting quilts from all the scraps she gives me
