AAQI Quilt Finished!!
Tuesday, March 16th, 2010Wow, what a difference a deadline makes! I finished my quilt for the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative last night. I have a hard time with quilt names but finally settled on “Flowers for Grandma”, not very original but it seems perfect. My Grandma Porter died at 96 after suffering for years from Alzheimer’s. I lived with my Grandma for several years when I was young and she had a gardener, Rufus, who took care of the geraniums, daffodils, lantanas, oleanders and many others. I have fond memories of playing in Grandma’s yard amongst the flowers. Tonight I’ll see the AAQI quilts others from my guild have made and then I’ll start my Temporary Quilt Registration Goddess duties 
And the back with the fast finish triangles which are the cats meow, if you ask me.
