Paducah was fun and the quilts were amazing. Had a hard time picking my favorite, as usual. It was fun to see my latest obsession, Molly & her Owlets, at the show

I was very good at the quilt show this year. I bought things but not too many. I bought fabric but not too much. I had loads of fun and ate lots of good stuff, especially the Boy Scout’s strawberry short cake….yummy.

Yep, that’s it
Thirty yards of fabric, a Gwen Marston book, new pair of scissors, tumbler template, sewing machine needles, couple of spools of thread (hand quilting, silk and trilobal polyester — went to the thread lecture by Dr. Bob), Cherrywood grab bag, show books and a purse from Kenya! Oh, yeah, and the red blob to the right is a popcorn shirt I picked up as well!
Some of the fabric pictured above is a gift but I got some reproduction prints and some other yummy fabric.

While I was gone, I received an email letting me know my AAQI quilt is up for the May auction!!! Yippeeeee. The “slow & silent” auction starts May 1st through May 10th. Mine is quilt #4965. Here’s hoping it sells.

There is one by Suzanne Marshall (#4961) who’s quilt at Paducah won FIRST in the Small Wall Quilts-Hand Quilted category. Suzanne’s entry in the AQS Lancaster show won BEST Handworkmanship Award for “Vases”. Suzanne doesn’t sell her work so this is a chance to own a piece of her beautiful hand workmanship.
