Sunny Monday

It is unseasonably warm in St Louis this week, with high temperatures expected near 80 degrees so I’m sure all my daffodils will be in bloom this week.  It will be light out when I get home tonight so I’ll take a couple of pictures and maybe you’ll know why my blog refers to jonquils 😉

I had a busy weekend but nothing new on my design wall 🙁  I recovered my mini ironing board and it looks fabulous!

Here’s a picture from before but it doesn’t show how bad it had gotten:

And after 🙂

Nice, really nice.  I got some sewing time in and used it to work on the First Saturday half square triangles.

Last, I’ve continued cutting triangles from the red string blocks…….I’m almost done.  Guess I’ll have to figure out what I’m doing with them now 😉 Hmmm……

There is no change for the stash report.  I did pay for some fabric but I’ve not received it yet, so there is no change.

Happy Quilting, Cherie

  1. Nice recovering job! HSTs surely are the most versatile block part ever. Looking forward to seeing photos of daffodils and jonquils. I’ll be in St. Louis briefly next month so hope it isn’t too hot by the time I get there.

  2. Your ironing board looks great! Want to do mine for me? The pink and brown pieces look interesting. Of course, you are always working on something interesting!

  3. Cherie, It looks like you are working on some interesting projects. Are those red string triangles part of the Orca Bay that Bonnie Hunter hosted? I like your clean, beautiful ironing board cover. Mine needs a fix too.
