I can’t believe there are still over 75 quilters that link their design wall Monday posts on Judy’s blog more than a year after Judy started the link up. Check them all out here. My design wall has a couple of new Grandmother’s Choice BOTW blocks.
The newest block, Union Square was a breeze to make.
Here are the blocks I’ve made so far. You can see two of block #1 Grandmother’s Choice because I trimmed the first one, and oops, it turned out too small. That’s one for the backing 😉
I can tell you block number 4 isn’t going to be a piece of cake, there are 28 Pieces in that Sunflower. I’ll attempt to hand piece this one and will probably applique the circles…….and you can bet it will take me longer than a week to finish!
I quilted the lap quilt this weekend. Sophie did pretty well although I’m still having a thread breakage problem.
I’ve continued adding to my stash of reclaimed fabrics from the GW….not much of the green checked print as it was a small pair of shorts.
Stash Report –
- Fabric in: 1 yards (GW shirts)
- Fabric out: 0 yards
- YTD Fabric in: 116.5 yards
- YTD Fabric out: 58.5 yards
- Net Fabric In/(Out): 58 yards, I just don’t know how I’ll meet my goal if I keep sneaking to the Goodwill Clearance Center…..
Happy Quilting, Cherie
