Catching Up On Grandmother’s Choice Blocks

First, did you see which AAQI invitational quilt received the highest bid?  Pat Holly’s “Fear of Empty Spaces” won with a final bid of $3,665!!!!!!!  Diane Guadynski’s “Joy Remembered” had a final bid of $3,135.  I didn’t make the call this month, but it’s all good because they raised $15,545 🙂

My design wall has some more Grandmother’s Choice BOTW blocks 🙂  Here’s Brick Pavement: March on Washington (#9) and New York: Susan B. Anthony Breaks the Law (#10).

And I’ve decided to try reverse applique for the background on Kansas Sunflower (#4) so I’ve got that all prepped.

My design wall has all the completed Grandmother’s Choice blocks….I think they are looking good.

You can check out Judy’s DWM post to see what other fun things are happening around the quilt blogosphere.

I finished the binding on the scrap club lap quilt from last year so another project is FINISHED 🙂

I used my Veteran’s day 60% off coupon at JoAnn’s to buy a second length of “flannel” backed plastic for additional retreat design wall.  I’ll fold an inch or so over each edge so when I use painters tape it won’t pull off the “flannel” making it much easier to take down.  And look, a 1/2 yd remnant of Kona white jumped into my arms, too 😉
