Here’s my design wall for this second Monday in February. Not much has changed but I am now only 3 blocks behind (not including this week’s block) on the Grandmother’s Choice BOTW
Hop over to Judy’s DWM post to see a bunch of great design walls
I hand pieced block #12, Little Boys Breechers, because of the “Y” seams and it went together well.
Here are the rest of the blocks I’ve done:
#11 Little Red Schoolhouse which I modified to have two windows
#17 Mother’s Delight (Hand pieced)
I received a wonderful gift from Marilyn because she remembered how much I liked this fabric and it didn’t fit with the project she had in mind. Isn’t that just the nicest?
Of course that means an addition to my stash report!

Happy Quilting, Cherie

Cherie, Your blocks look great. How big is this quilt? Your stash report is similar to mine this year — more in than out!
This reminds me so much of my childhood – this is the kind of quilt the ladies the methodist church would make and raffle off at the yearly bazarre – the same kind of colors and patterns – I love those quilts!
Those are really interesting blocks! LOVE the red and white print.
Now, how many Y seams do you see? LOTS! I hand pieced this puppy and still had to frog stitch (rippit, rippit) a few seams as the “pant legs” were easy to turn the wrong way. But I was reassured that others in the Grandmother’s Choice Flickr Group had the problems. That’s one of the benefits of this group – we share tips, tricks, troubles and lots of tremendous blocks each week. A wonderful online community.
Gorgeous blocks, Cherie! Love all the variety but still cohesiveness to your bunch
