A Tale of Two Baby Quilts

Way back in April 2007, American Patchwork & Quilting printed directions to re-make an antique baby quilt.  I loved the sweet quilt and couldn’t decide whether I should make one that reproduced the antique look or go with modern fabrics.  After pulling fabrics from my stash, I decided to make one vintage AND one contemporary 🙂  I finished the tops and I love them both.  The tops languished, as quilt tops sometimes do, but for 5 freakin’ years?!?!?!  I’m proud to say I received my two tops back from Terri Kanyuck and the quilting is terrific!

The pictures aren’t very good so I’ll take some better ones later but here’s the vintage quilt, trimmed and waiting for binding:
