It’s the middle of January and it’s going to hit 46 degrees today……MUST. ENJOY…….high tomorrow 19 degrees!!!!!
I’ve started prepping the first block for the Benjamin Biggs Wedding quilt (BBWQ) from Just Takes 2. I decided to modify the pattern as some of the others have done and I’m pretty happy with it. Here it’s seen with my freezer paper template ironed to the wrong side of the fabric which is my usual way of doing needle turn applique……cut it out, iron in the edges, remove the freezer paper, baste to background and sew.
I snagged a couple of half yards of greens and one of red this weekend at the Calico Moon just for this project. Wouldn’t you know I liked the Jo Morton prints 😉 I’m excited to get started on this two year odyssey.
- Fabric in: 11.75 yards (BBWQ Background counted at 8.75 since it’s a wide backing piece, BBWQ red & greens and jelly fish print)
- Fabric out: 0 yards
- YTD Fabric in: 14.25 yards
- YTD Fabric out: 14 yards
- Net Fabric In/(Out): .25 yards – well I didn’t stay on the net out side very long!
Happy Quilting, Cherie
