It’s design wall Monday (DWM) and there’s nothing to show. I went to the AQS quilt show in Paducah Wednesday-Saturday so there hasn’t been any sewing going on around here. Here I’m reveling in having my quilt in the show.
I did a little shopping in between admiring all the quilts in the show.
I do it every year no matter how much I tell myself I’m going to be good and not acquire any more fabric. If the prices weren’t so good, I might be able to resist. I’m pretty excited to have that large piece of background fabric on the bottom at $5.50/yard…..I bought the whole bolt. So now for the stash report……
- Fabric in: 49 yards
- Fabric out: 0
- YTD Fabric in: 107,5 yards
- YTD Fabric out: 49
- Net Fabric In/(Out): 58.5 yards
Happy Quilting, Cherie
It’s design wall Monday and there’s nothing new on my wall….but how about a design bed? These are my blocks from The Quilted Fox First Saturday club, minus four that were rejected. I used fabric purchased with my friend Darlene for the borders because it’s a gift to our wonderful Paducah quilt show hostess, Nancy. Two friends, Sandy & Jan, our fellow lodgers, quilted and bound it respectively. I think it turned out wonderful and since Nancy likes to travel, it’s a perfect fit for her. Click over to Judy’s DWM post to see loads of other projects in process 🙂
Over the Easter weekend I went to visit a few vintage/antique stores. Usually I don’t see too many quilts that really catch my eye, but check out this fabulous pieced circle quilt. It is just wonderful and probably a good deal at $375 if the rest of the quilt is in as good of shape as what’s showing.
As you can see it was hanging on a ladder behind other items so I didn’t get to look at it close up but the quilting shows so nicely in this picture. The second quilt that caught my eye was this indigo bow tie quilt because of the pink striped fabrics and the bow tie blocks used for cornerstones.
No changes to the stash report again this week but I’m leaving for Paducah on Wednesday…. 😉
It’s raining and the birds are singing….but there’s a chance of snow in the forecast!! Old man winter teasing us, I guess 😉
My design wall has something on it….which is saying something since I haven’t had much sewing time lately. I have been sewing crumb blocks leader/ender style and they come in brights and not. The large round robin blocks measure 16 1/2″ now and will be mailed on with their mates to the next quilter . Lots of eye candy can be seen on Judy’s DWM post so hop over and check it out.
No change in the stash, so no update but Paducah is coming…… 🙂
