Boy, oh boy, it’s cold outside!! Good days for staying in the warm house and sewing, right? When I was cutting the bias binding strips for the raffle quilt, I cut the remaining fabric to have a stash of binding ready to go for later 🙂 I got it sewed and ironed…….
…..and then I starting checking out sashing possibilities for these RSC blocks on my design wall. Check out Judy’s DWM post here for all the wonderful things hanging out on design walls everywhere 🙂
I’m leaning towards the one second from the left but I haven’t finished frisking my stash yet so I might yet find something else.
Our guilds annual fabric swap meeting is tomorrow night so while I was digging in my stash, I culled out some fabrics that have hung out at my house for too long. I’m counting it as stash out. If I bring home any, I’ll count it in next week 😉
- Fabric in: 2 yards (thrifted shirts)
- Fabric out: 8.5 yards (more solids sent to DD)
- YTD Fabric in: 12 yards
- YTD Fabric out: 21.5 yards
- Net Fabric In/(Out): (9.5) yards
Happy Quilting, Cherie
I got my pink RSC blocks for February made today 🙂 Using the Studio cutter for the triangles sure is nice. There are 16 half square triangles in each broken dish block and it takes like 5 minutes to cut 64 triangles…….and it is fun!!! Linking up SoScrappy for the Saturday Rainbow Scrap Challenge Saturday post.
…….I cleaned up this……..
……..I got right to work on this……..
………sewing ~380″ of binding on “Dazzling in Red” our guilds raffle quilt for the Quintessential Quilt 2015 show. And made the hanging sleeve. Next up, a little hand sewing and Miss Fisher Mysteries on Netflix 🙂 The best part? The desk is still cleaned off!
…..I can sew this……
…….I have to make room on this for my sewing machine :-O YIKES!!!! I can’t believe I’m showing this……..
With a weekend of 70 degree weather here in St Louis, we got out and enjoyed it at the zoo after First Saturday at The Quilted Fox. It was a beautiful day, perfect really. So new on the design wall are the January First Sat blocks. Be sure to stop by Judy’s DWM post for more good stuff.
Jan, at The Colorful Fabriholic, has the first 6 months blocks on her design wall….looking good 🙂
Our guild directs a quilt show every other year that hangs in the University City Public Library for a whole month. It’s nice because it’s free and available to the public during library hours. Anyway, to help support the quilt show expenses (including prize money) we make a raffle quilt. Sandy finished quilting it and, wow, does it look good. Here are some close ups 🙂
I’ve prepared 400″ of binding so you’ll find me in a binding marathon this week 😉 The RSC blocks will have to wait until next week.
