RSC 2017

Angela over at Soscrappy is hosting the Rainbow Scrap Challenge (button on the side bar) again in 2017, Yay Angela!!!   The color of the month is PURPLE and here’s the link to the first purple Saturday linkup… go check it out.

Other than continuing to make broken dishes blocks, I had no  plans for RSC 2017.  Imagine my surprise when this block showed up on my design wall!   I know Mr. Piggy is here because of the influence (bad? good? who can say 😉 ) of Gayle of Mangofeet.  I’m looking over my shoulder because she has flying monkeys at her house, too!!

Oops, almost forgot to follow instructions….here’s a finished RSC challenge quilt that won 2nd place in a local quilt show 🙂  Here’s STYX:

  1. Hurray for piggies! (Resistance was futile. You have been assimilated.)
Watch out for those monkeys – I actually had them infesting… er… visiting my house before the piglets showed up. You might want to check your closets and under any throw rugs. (They love throw rugs.)
Congrats on the ribbon on the lovely Styx!

  2. What a cute little piggy block – only made better because of the purple color, you know. lol Love Styx. That is a real stunner!

Oh and BTW, congrats you are a winner of a prize from the QOV Eastern MO block drive. Let me know how you want to receive it – via mail or perhaps in person.

  3. Gayle has been trying to lure me into her pigpen too but so far I have resisted and have no pigs flying to my wall, thank goodness.

Styx is an award winner for sure! Congrats!

  4. Love your purple piggy. It’s one of the blocks on my list of projects for RSC sometime in the future. Styx turned out beautifully. Enjoy your RSC stitching this years. Those pigs are such fun to play with.
