I visited the Goodwill Clearance center after our Alternate First Saturday quilters gathering (alternate because most of us no longer participate in the LQS’s First Saturday program after accumulating several years worth of blocks and not finishing them). I found some great shirts, including three grey, one brown and a RWB shirt.

I also snagged a 2 1/2 yard piece of an old Peter Pan print that I love and think I’ll use for setting some crumb blocks I made ages ago. All for $11 and priceless amounts of fun 🙂

Happy Quilting, Cherie
Oh, man – I wish I had one of these clearance centers near me. My Goodwill charges $6-$8 for each shirt. And by the time they make it to the bargain bin (side annex), the choices are nonexistent. (maybe your first Saturday group needs to change its focus to making tops with your blocks . . . giggle)
You find the most interesting fabrics! Can’t wait to see what you make with them.
I tend to feel a bit guilty cutting up a perfectly wearable shirt. What if someone NEEDED those to wear?!?!
well… except for the T-shirts. Those are fair game to add to my T-shirt Quilts!!! :o))
Love the title….so ‘fitting’. I never find this though I recently got gifted with BOXES of fabric/scraps from a quilter who was downsizing. Piecing at warp speed last week and sigh…where will I put MINE. But grateful, extremely grateful.
