I finished the February First Saturday block so I’m set for Mar 7th 🙂
I also got the alternate blocks from both Jan & Feb finished.
I played a little on Friday night and made two wonky star blocks to send to the Bushfire Quilt project. These were fun! They are asking for blocks with white, cream or light background. I sure hope I didn’t get too wild.
Here’s the Remington sewing machine. “Front” is written on one side of the cover which is perfectly logical as you wouldn’t want to lift it anymore than necessary!
These next pictures are for my dad:
Here’s a shot of the label on the Singer shown in my previously post:
I finished my First Saturday block Saturday morning 😉 Nothing like last minute sewing!
While I was at the Quilted Fox for the First Saturday, I just happened to pick up a few “Fox Tails” (the small cuts from the tail end of bolts) and a couple more cuts from the sale bolts. I had to use up my gift certificate, right???
I picked up some solids to mess around with. Tonya at Lazy Gal Quilting does free pieced letters and lots of other free piecing. She uses solids a lot and she’s inspired me to work with some.
I got the binding machine sewed down on the baby quilt and cut some more pieces for the backs of the Mountain quilts this weekend but nothing photo worthy. I also got 5 or 6 more little nine patches done as leader/enders. Shoot, maybe I’ll have enough to make a large quilt out of them……okay, maybe a throw sized quilt 🙂
