<p><span style="color: #808000;">Here&#8217;s what&#8217;s on my design wall for this last Monday in April.  Check out other design walls on Judy&#8217;s DWM post <a href="http://www.patchworktimes.com/2012/04/30/design-wall-monday-april-30-2012/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+PatchworkTimes+%28Patchwork+Times+by+Judy+Laquidara%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">here</span></a>.  </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/DWM-4-30-12.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4191" title="DWM 4-30-12" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/DWM-4-30-12.jpg" alt="" width="433" height="594" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #808000;">I made another Barbara Brackman Civil War BOW, number 26 <a href="http://civilwarquilts.blogspot.com/2011/11/46-apple-tree.html" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Apple Tree</span></a>.  Only 6 or 7 blocks more to go!<br />
</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/BB-CW-46.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4190" title="BB CW 46" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/BB-CW-46.jpg" alt="" width="438" height="437" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #808000;">And got my April First Saturday block finished.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/April-FS.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4193" title="April FS" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/April-FS.jpg" alt="" width="435" height="439" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #808000;">Now for the one and only picture I&#8217;ll show of how very, very bad I was in Paducah.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Paducah-Fabric.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4192" title="Paducah Fabric" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Paducah-Fabric.jpg" alt="" width="501" height="393" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #808000;">In my very weak defense, the red fabric on the bottom left pile is for a quilt backing and the gray/blue/yellow/white prints are for a baby quilt needed by July.  The rest, I have no defense&#8230;..</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #008000;">First up, one of my AAQI Priority quilts, <a href="http://www.alzquilts.org/9649.html" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Squared</span></a>, has had it&#8217;s photo loaded in the Quilt Waiting for Assignment page, woo hoo!<br />
</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Squared.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-4170" title="Squared" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Squared-512x522.jpg" alt="" width="512" height="522" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;">It&#8217;s Design Wall Monday so click over to Judy&#8217;s <a href="http://www.patchworktimes.com/2012/04/16/design-wall-monday-april-16-2012/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+PatchworkTimes+%28Patchwork+Times+by+Judy+Laquidara%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">DWM post</span></a> for links to other DWM posts.  I have a completed top for my design wall!  It&#8217;s a log cabin project from scrap club.   It is being inspected by Capser and Simontacchi because that&#8217;s their job, you know!</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Log-Cabin.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4168" title="Log Cabin" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Log-Cabin.jpg" alt="" width="435" height="564" /></a></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;">While I was MIA I participated in the St Louis Shop Hop with Darlene, Marilyn and Jeanne.  We had such a fun time and they&#8217;re still smiling at stop #11!</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Shop-Hop-11.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4166" title="Shop Hop 11" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Shop-Hop-11-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a></span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">I was very good on the first shop hop day, but the second day&#8230;&#8230;..well, here&#8217;s what I snagged.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Shop-Hop.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4169" title="Shop Hop" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Shop-Hop-300x248.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="248" /></a></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Cute-Cute.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4165" title="Cute Cute" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Cute-Cute-300x223.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="223" /></a></span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">The cute ice cream and laminated owl prints aren&#8217;t for me&#8230;they are going to Italy for my DD to play with.  I can&#8217;t resist scraps and grab bags with scraps, well I&#8217;m in heaven.  <a href="http://www.crosspatches.com/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Cross Patches</span></a>, our shop hop stop #12, had grab bags of scraps in a basket in the back of the store.  The stack of scraps on the right in the top photo is the pile of scraps I got&#8230;..they are a wonderful mix of fabrics and I love them!  I picked up a few other pieces of fabric&#8230;&#8230;.looks like I&#8217;m gravitating towards gold/pumpkin colors, doesn&#8217;t it?  </span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">I have been working on my hexie project on the train as I haven&#8217;t taken the time to prep my next applique block.  My flower garden is growing <img src='http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Hexies.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4167" title="Hexies" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Hexies-300x258.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="258" /></a></p>

</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #993300;">I&#8217;ve been steadily working on adding the rounds to the scrap club Double Time log cabin.  I&#8217;ve got the 13th &#8220;log&#8221; pinned to all my blocks, so only two more to go&#8230;..</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #993300;">I&#8217;ve started work on my March Color Palette challenge.  Turns out it will be a miniature with 1/4&#8243; squares! <p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/DWM-2-27-12.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-4072" title="DWM 2-27-12" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/DWM-2-27-12-512x384.jpg" alt="" width="512" height="384" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #008000;">I was able to pull from my 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 inch strips but I needed even more so I&#8217;ve been cutting into some fat quarters and half yard stash.  I&#8217;ve also tackled the fabric leftover from past projects that have been sitting in the &#8220;to be cut&#8221; pile.  Here&#8217;s the proof&#8230;.check out the trash mountain I&#8217;ve got going!<br />

<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #0000ff;">Barbara Brackman made this one for the series and she calls it the <a href="http://civilwarquilts.blogspot.com/2011/12/53-union-shield.html" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Union Shield</span></a>. </span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #0000ff;">This one is Yankee Puzzle and I&#8217;ve made two of them.  We have to repeat three blocks to have a total of 56.  As I&#8217;m writing this, it occurs to me that using 4 shields in the corners might be a nice look&#8230;..maybe I&#8217;ll make three extra of them!</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/BB-CW-49.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4047" title="BB CW 49" src="http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/BB-CW-49.jpg" alt="" width="295" height="298" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #0000ff;"> A quilting friend, Dorris, passed a couple of years ago and her wishes were for the guild to have her stash.  In the share I received, were a couple of orphan squares and quite a few batik scarps.  I&#8217;m played with them this weekend and think I&#8217;ll finish these up for an AAQI Priority quilt.  At least the thumbnail picture will be seen since it&#8217;s so bright <img src='http://quiltedjonquil.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />

<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #008000;">I sewed up another <a href="http://civilwarquilts.blogspot.com/2011/11/45-port-and-starboard.html" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">block</span></a>, Port &amp; Starboard, from Barbara Brackman&#8217;s Civil War BOW.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #008000;">I cleaned off my ironing board in order to iron the fabric for the Vicksburg backing.  That led to cutting scraps into strips and squares to feed the scrap savers system, cutting one square from each of the polka dot fabrics in my stash for a fellow quilter, finishing cutting up the last of the shirts donated from the hubby&#8217;s closet, and figuring out what&#8217;s up with the <a href="http://quiltedjonquil.com/2012/01/23/monday-design-wall-time-5/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">TTNP</span></a> borders.  Not that I&#8217;ve worked out how to handle it, but I&#8217;ve figured out what&#8217;s what.  </span></p>
