I finished up three more Rail Fence blocks and now have a total of 12. That means this weekend I can play with layout and decide if I want to make more 🙂 Well, I do want to make more….just need to decide if they will be for this quilt top or a new one, lol!
And a Few More
Indigo RSC Blocks
I finished up my indigo broken dishes blocks. I was happy to find two indigo shirt pieces and matched them with a couple of grey plaids. They turned about pretty well, IMHO. Click over to Soscrappy to the Saturday link up to see loads of other RSC blocks.
Another Rail Fence Block
Great Workshop!!
Wow, I have much to share! Saturday I joined Robin and Julie at a workshop with Sujata Shah for her Rail Fence quilt which is on the cover of her book, Cultural Fusion, that came out in December. Sujata’s hosting a quilt-a-long for the rail fence quilt so I might have to jump in now that I have 5 blocks made 😉 Sujata is a wonderful teacher and her energy is amazing. If you get a chance, I highly recommend taking a workshop with Sujata.
I can’t wait to make more blocks so I can play with different layouts. It will also be fun choosing additional pairs of fabrics. FUN!! Sujata graciously agreed to pictures 🙂
Julie brought her quilt made with some of my liberated churn dash blocks…fun!
Since I posted last, the blocks for Crop Circles are all sewn together, Woohoo!!
I ordered some fabric for the back so I’ll be putting this one on Sophie for quilting soon. The next First Sat group, The Fox Travels the Roman Road, started in August and I’ve gotten the main block completed. It’s not an easy block but I like it.
Here’s my design wall…the broken dishes blocks are multiplying 🙂
